Every great venue has a mascot—but not every mascot has a story like Axel’s.
If you’ve visited Axe‑Mania, you’ve definitely seen him. Towering, fur-covered, and perpetually mid-growl, Axel is the taxidermied grizzly bear that greets guests and keeps watch over the lanes. He’s more than just decor—he’s become a symbol of our vibe: bold, unforgettable, and a little wild.
But Axel wasn’t always the face of Axe‑Mania.
His story starts in a dusty barn, where he was tucked away in a private collection—forgotten, out of sight, and gathering cobwebs. When we came across him, we knew right away he needed a second chance at glory. He didn’t belong in a dark corner—he belonged front and center, where people could admire (and maybe laugh nervously at) his fierce presence.
So we gave Axel a new home, cleaned him up, and made him a part of the Axe‑Mania family. Now, he’s not just a conversation starter—he’s part of the experience.
Why a Bear?
Let’s be real—what better animal to represent axe throwing than a grizzly? Strong, intense, and a little unpredictable. Axel perfectly captures the energy we bring to every lane. But he’s also got a playful side. You’ll see him featured in promos, social posts, and even the occasional in-house shoutout. He doesn’t talk (yet), but we’ve got some ideas in the works—stay tuned.
